If cancer has stopped the income, we can help with the bills.
We only take referrals from hospital social workers. There's no form here and we can't respond to direct requests. Ask the social worker at your treating hospital to contact us; they know the process and approval usually takes less than 24 hours.
1
Talk to your hospital social worker
Any social worker at a partner hospital can refer you. If you're not sure who yours is, ask a nurse on the ward or at the chemotherapy unit.
2
They send us the bill
The social worker works through the application with you and sends it to us with the bill that needs paying.
3
We pay it, usually within a day
A board member approves the request, usually within 24 hours, and we pay the provider directly. You and your social worker are told as soon as it's done.
4
Come back if you need to
Treatment can take months. Families can be referred more than once while a parent is unable to work.
