Privacy Policy

Lisa Fahey Foundation Incorporated (ABN 92 215 225 052) collects only what it needs to receipt your gift, keep in touch if you've asked us to, and meet our obligations as a registered charity.

When you donate

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe passes us your name, email address, the amount and any in-memory note you added so we can issue a tax receipt. We keep receipt records for seven years as required by the Australian Taxation Office.

Email

When you donate you can choose whether to hear from us. If you tick "Keep me posted" we'll send your receipt and, occasionally, an update on what the Foundation has been doing. If you leave it unticked you receive the receipt only. Every email has an unsubscribe link. We use Resend to send receipts and Mailchimp to send updates; both store your name and email address on our behalf, on servers outside Australia.

Families we help

Referrals come to us from hospital social workers. We keep only what's needed to pay the bill and confirm it was paid, and we treat everything a social worker sends us as confidential. We never publish a family's details without their written permission.

Volunteers and board members

We collect contact details for volunteers and board members, and, where a role requires it, the result of a police clearance. Sensitive information is collected only with the person's consent.

This website

The site uses no advertising or analytics cookies and loads nothing from third parties. The only outside service a visitor touches is Stripe, when they choose to donate. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for a short period for security purposes.

Your rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@lisafahey.org.au or write to The Chair, Lisa Fahey Foundation, PO Box 416, Burnside SA 5066. If you're not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last changed.
